About the job:

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in our Insurance Advisory practice at Synpulse, you will support leading players in the primary insurance industry (P&C, Life, Health) in navigating complex transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in analyzing strategic and operational challenges, developing pragmatic and innovative solutions, and driving their implementation from strategy through execution. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will work closely with our clients and actively contribute to the success of interdisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• First class Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering or natural sciences from a prestigious university or university of applied sciences
• Strong affinity for technology at the intersection of business and IT, with a solid understanding of digital solutions and insurance-related IT landscapes.
• Hands-on, implementation-oriented mindset with the motivation to actively drive initiatives through to the rollout and adoption of relevant tools and systems.
• Relevant experience in primary insurance (P&C, Life, or Health). 
• Strong communication skills in German and English
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
• High capacity for teamwork and social competences

• For Consultant:

  • First consulting or insurance industry experience through internships or entry-level roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with curiosity and initiative.
  • Confident communicator in client-facing situations.

• For Senior Consultant:

  • Several years of relevant experience in consulting or within an insurance company.
  • Proven ability to manage workstreams or subprojects independently.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead transformation projects for primary insurers along the entire value chain and from strategy to implementation, covering strategy, organization and processes, as well as systems and data.
• Support or lead consulting projects for primary insurers in areas such as digital transformation, process optimization, target operating model design, regulatory implementation, product and portfolio innovation, and core insurance system migrations (e.g. policy administration, claims, underwriting 
• Analyze business models, processes, and requirements to identify pain points, risks, and improvement      opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to workshops, client presentations, and project deliverables.
• Contribute to knowledge building, methodology development, and internal initiatives within the Synpulse Insurance practice.
• Depending on your level, you will either support workstreams (Consultant) or take responsibility for managing them (Senior Consultant), including coordination of team members and direct interaction with client stakeholders.
