The Sr. Global Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL) is responsible for the thoughtful application of the Danaher Business System (DBS) for the entirety of the global functions within Molecular Devices. This role is a partner role with L1 leaders and must advocate, uphold, and innovate Molecular Devices DBS capabilities at all levels and sub-functions within the organization, inclusive of the functional leadership partner(s). Successful candidates will have executive presence and the ability to drive to results as a trusted member of the functional leadership team. This individual will lead from the front and help service leader prioritize the most impactful actions and countermeasures to risk with consistent data-driven insights.

This position reports to the VP, Danaher Business System and based in San Jose, CA office with an expectation of being 5 days in office. While this role is posted on-site in the US, applications from qualified candidates in other US locations will be considered equally with relocation benefits.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Govern global Kaizen & Problem-Solving Funnels for supporting function: Guide teams to prioritize focus and ensure ongoing use of DBS Kaizen Standards, Best Practices, and Sustainment. This includes supporting highest level Policy deployment all the way to functional daily management. 

  • Manage DBS Certification Pipeline: Builds DBS skill by helping business partners prioritize DBS tool certification needs, identify candidates, and supports those candidates throughout the process. 

  • Teach DBS and Nurture DBS Culture: Leads DBS-related events and training, and serves as the DBS standard-bearer for the Organization. Tools of focus include Daily Management, Problem Solving Process, TPI and Standard work.

The essential requirements of the job include:   

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a Science, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in any or all functions including sales, service, marketing, R&D and operation or similar role OR equivalent time in a position dedicated to continuous improvement. 

  • Minimum 7+ years of work experience is required.

  • Demonstrated use of Danaher Business System Fundamental and Certified Practitioner status in one or more tools preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with cross functional senior leaders and leading through influence at all levels of a global organization.

​Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: 

  • Ability to travel 25- 50 % travel, overnight and including international as needed.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 40lbs in support of training and workshops.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:  

  • Strong process orientation, problem solving skills, and a commitment to delivering results. 

  • Ability to perform exceptionally in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment with a sense of urgency. 

  • Experienced influencer capable of managing / leading teams at all levels of an organization, including executive level, without direct authority.

The annual salary range for this role is $160,000 to $190,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. 

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
