Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) | PRN Day Shift

We're looking for a compassionate, clinically confident Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Galveston team as a PRN Day Shift nurse.
This position provides flexible PRN scheduling with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including weekends and holidays as needed.
As an Emergency Room RN, you'll deliver exceptional emergency care while creating an experience that helps patients feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for during some of life's most stressful moments.
This role combines strong clinical judgment with exceptional hospitality, teamwork, and patient advocacy.
Some days you'll respond to high-acuity emergencies requiring rapid assessment and intervention.
Other days you'll spend extra time educating patients, easing fears, and creating memorable experiences that set Hospitality Health ER apart.

What You'll Do as the Emergency Room Registered Nurse
As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Hospitality Health ER, you will:
- Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
- Rapidly assess, prioritize, and respond to emergent patient needs
- Carry out physician orders accurately and efficiently while exercising sound clinical judgment
- Administer medications, treatments, and point-of-care testing within the scope of nursing practice
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, radiology, laboratory, and the clinical team to coordinate exceptional patient care
- Educate patients and families while addressing questions, concerns, and discharge instructions with empathy and professionalism
- Identify emergencies quickly and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
- Support patient flow by assisting with triage, charge nurse responsibilities, discharge planning, and other clinical duties as assigned
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards

- Adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a calm, professional presence
What We're Looking For in the Emergency Room Registered Nurse
We're looking for someone who:

Qualifications for the Emergency Room Registered Nurse
- Current Texas Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of two years of emergency care nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- PALS or ENPC and NIH Stroke Scale certification required within six months of hire
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work PRN 12-hour day shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
