**Summary:** We're Meta's Standalone Apps Team — we build new apps to reach new user scenarios and serve needs that aren't well met today. The project we're building right now is an image-and-text community where real people share first-hand experiences and recommendations — what to try, where to go, how to do something. It's where people come to get inspired and to make everyday decisions, learning from others who've actually been there. It's still early — a small team working 0→1.If you want high ownership, a short path from idea to ship, and the chance to shape a product from its first version, this is that kind of team. **Required Skills:** Product Designer Responsibilities: 1. Own the design of major product areas end to end: framing the problem, exploring directions, and delivering high-quality, shippable UI. 2. Translate product strategy into clear flows, interaction patterns, and a coherent visual language. 3. Prototype and test ideas quickly 4. use research and data to make design decisions. 5. Partner closely with product and engineering to ship, and to keep quality high under a fast 0→1 pace. 6. Help establish the design patterns and system the team builds on. **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 7. 8+ years of product design experience for consumer products, with a portfolio of shipped work 8. Strength across the craft: product thinking, interaction design, and visual/UI execution 9. Experience driving design for a major product area independently 10. Ability to work fast and iterate with engineering and product in an early-stage environment 11. Demonstrated ability of visual design craft: typography, color, layout, and composition — a refined aesthetic sensibility **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 12. Experience designing a new app from 0→1 13. Experience with content/feed, discovery, community, or social products 14. Prototyping skills (motion, interactive prototypes) 15. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) 16. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) 17. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies **Public Compensation:** $201,000/year to $278,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits **Industry:** Internet **Equal Opportunity:** Meta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
