Open up opportunities with HPE.Job Description: Job Family Definition:Responsible for planning and arranging the labor, schedules, equipment and diagnostics required for testing and evaluating both standard and special devices. Specifies tests to be performed and provides test area with parameters for sample testing. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment and diagnostics, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.Management Level Definition:Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.What you will do:Leads multiple project teams of other test engineers and internal and outsourced test partners responsible for all stages of systems, equipment, and device testing, including solution and test plan design, validation, tooling, test execution and results evaluation.Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced partners for systems, equipment, and device testing.Reviews and evaluates product designs and project activities for compliance with technology and testing guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.Provides domain-specific expertise and overall test engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, and activities.Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the test engineering organization.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.What you need to bring:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.Typically 8-12 years experience.Knowledge and Skills: Multicast Networking: Strong understanding of multicast protocols and configurations.VXLAN EVPN: Hands-on experience with VXLAN EVPN deployments and troubleshooting.Routing Protocols: BGP – Configuration, route policies, and troubleshooting.OSPF – Design and operational knowledge.Access Features: DHCP – Server and relay configurations.802.1X (dot1x) – Authentication and security implementation.Basic Networking & Switching Concepts: VLANs, STP, link aggregation, and Layer 2/Layer 3 fundamentals.Automation Skills: Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and network validationWhat We Can Offer You:Health & WellbeingWe strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of...
