Solution Architect – Material Planning and Inventory Management will be responsible for understanding business requirements to define architecture solutions that modernize Ford System landscape covering CMMS/MMP(S4 HANA)/S4 EWM and legacy applications under Supply Chain
Should be able to study system capabilities, draft design strategies, modernizing Ford in-house build applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), manage standard EA deliverables like CBID reviews/EAAs/GRC, manage tech debts and collaborate with one or more product teams.
Collaborate with Supply chain - Material and Parts Logistics Business Leads, Software Delivery Leads, Product Managers, and Software Engineers along with cross functional enterprise architects
Support/deliver system design, technology evaluation, and guide teams in creating, defining, and delivering system capabilities.
Provide support such as technical PoCs, performance driven design optimization, product evealuation, fit-gap analysis
Document design solutions, drive tech debt remediation, optimize design solutions
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience as solution architect and/or software engineer.
Additional Qualifications
Previous experience as solution architect, software engineer, or similar.
Previous experience with Material planning & Inventory Management, SAP S4 HANA/SAP EWM
Strong system architecture knowledge with experience in providing technical solutions for Java/mainframe system builds, integration architecture , cloud infrastructure. Google Cloud Platform, Azure etc
Experience with microservice architecture, REST APIs, Event-Driven Messaging patterns, and distributed cloud systems.
Knowledge of technology standards and security frameworks / tools.
Should be able to research & work independently.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Previous experience with multi-team, large-scale projects and incorporating all levels of architecture development (Business, Solution, Application, Infrastructure).
Experience migrating applications to cloud solutions.
Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Negotiation skills and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders and customers.
