Accountabilities:

    • Analyze and map standard audit and tax accounting workflows into clear performance objectives and knowledge requirements for early-career CPAs.
    • Translate professional accounting expertise into structured learning frameworks, including measurable goals and practical skill expectations.
    • Collaborate with learning experience designers to develop high-level program design documents that guide training development.
    • Define realistic scenarios, decision points, and professional challenges to support virtual simulations and practice-based learning experiences.
    • Provide subject matter expertise to ensure learning content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with real-world accounting practices.
    • Establish content guidelines and help determine the appropriate depth and scope of accounting concepts covered.
    • Participate in SME sessions, objective mapping activities, and proof-of-concept development throughout the engagement.
    • Requirements:

      • Active CPA certification required.
      • Deep professional knowledge of standard audit practice areas, including daily tasks, workflows, and required skills.
      • Strong understanding of tax accounting practices and the competencies needed for successful performance.
      • Ability to break down complex professional expertise into clear, structured steps and measurable learning outcomes.
      • Strong analytical, methodical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to create execution-ready frameworks.
      • Experience collaborating with learning, training, instructional design, or professional development teams is preferred.
      • Comfortable working remotely with virtual collaboration tools, video conferencing platforms, and digital communication channels.
      • Ability to commit approximately 25–35 hours over an 11-week project period, including SME sessions and asynchronous work.
