Sr. Director, Data Center Design & Product Engineering – OCI Data Center Infrastructure
This organization will be responsible for developing OCI's standardized data center design
platforms, creating engineering standards and reference architectures, driving design innovation,
and ensuring designs are optimized for constructability, scalability, manufacturability,
operational excellence, and total lifecycle cost. The role will establish engineering ownership
across the entire design lifecycle—from concept development and requirements definition
through detailed engineering, design validation, deployment support, and continuous design
improvement.
In partnership with OEMs and strategic suppliers, this leader will also define OCI's modular
infrastructure strategy, drive off-site manufacturing and assembly initiatives, influence
technology roadmaps and product selection, and help shape next-generation infrastructure
solutions that accelerate deployment while improving quality and consistency across OCI's
global fleet.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in mission-critical facility design, MEP
engineering, and hyperscale infrastructure with proven success building engineering
organizations, driving technical strategy, and influencing complex supplier ecosystems.
Design Engineering Leadership
-Own the engineering development of OCI's standardized data center design platforms and
MEP infrastructure.

-Establish design standards, engineering specifications, reference architectures, and
reusable design templates that enable global deployment at hyperscale.
-Lead engineering decisions across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and
integrated infrastructure systems.
-Drive continuous improvements in design quality, constructability, operability,
maintainability, energy efficiency, and lifecycle performance.
-Develop engineering methodologies that balance innovation with standardization while
supporting regional deployment requirements.
-Lead technical design reviews and engineering governance across all phases of the
infrastructure lifecycle.
-Partner with Architecture, Capacity Delivery, Construction, and Operations to ensure
engineering solutions meet deployment, operational, and long-term business objectives.
-Establish ownership of engineering change management and continuous improvement
using lessons learned from construction and operational performance.
OEM Strategy & Product Engineering
-Develop strategic engineering partnerships with OEMs to influence future product
roadmaps and technology development.
-Partner with suppliers to co-develop infrastructure solutions aligned with OCI's long-term
engineering strategy.
-Influence product selection based on technical capability, scalability, manufacturability,
lifecycle performance, and deployment efficiency.
-Drive engineering engagement throughout supplier design, validation, qualification, and
change management processes.
-Ensure OEM innovation aligns with OCI's standardized infrastructure platforms and
future capacity requirements.
Modularization & Industrialized Construction
-Develop OCI's engineering strategy for modular infrastructure and industrialized
construction.
-Define standardized modular building blocks across mechanical, electrical, and integrated
infrastructure systems.
-Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for
Offsite Manufacturing (DfOSM) principles into OCI engineering standards.
-Partner with OEMs and manufacturing partners to maximize factory integration, reduce
field labor, and improve deployment speed.
-Lead engineering initiatives that enable repeatable, scalable, factory-built infrastructure
solutions across OCI's global portfolio.
Cross-Functional Leadership
-Partner closely with Infrastructure Engineering, Capacity Delivery, Construction, Supply
Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and Architecture.
-Provide executive leadership on engineering strategy, technology roadmaps, design
decisions, and infrastructure standardization.
-Drive alignment between engineering, construction, manufacturing, and operations to
continuously improve OCI's infrastructure platform.
-Represent engineering in executive reviews, supplier engagements, and strategic planning
activities.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $182,000 to $414,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
