The Adobe Developer Platform team builds the tools, interfaces, CLIs that enable third-party developers and internal teams to extend and integrate with Adobe's products. This includes Adobe Developer Console, App Builder, I/O Events, Developer Distribution, Adobe Exchange and developer.adobe.com. Our team is the connective tissue between Adobe's products and the broader developer ecosystem, making it easy for developers to build powerful applications and integrations on top of Adobe's platform.

Millions of developers rely on the surfaces we build — from the developer portal at developer.adobe.com to the Developer Console where teams manage API credentials, extensions, and integrations. We move fast, care deeply about developer experience, and hold ourselves to a high bar for UI quality, performance, and accessibility. Our work directly shapes how the developer community perceives and adopts Adobe technology.

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a frontend focus to join the Adobe Developer Platform team and contribute to the developer-facing surfaces that power Adobe's ecosystem. You'll work alongside product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build polished, high-performance web experiences — and if you bring full-stack chops, there's plenty of opportunity to go deep on the services and APIs that power them.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain high-quality frontend features for Adobe Developer Platform surfaces, including developer.adobe.com, Developer Console, and Adobe Exchange.
  • Translate product and design requirements into clean, performant, and accessible React-based UI components.
  • Participate in design reviews and code reviews, ensuring engineering best practices and consistency across the codebase.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers to implement pixel-precise experiences that align with Adobe's Spectrum design system.
  • Investigate, debug, and resolve frontend issues across browsers and devices, contributing to operational excellence.
  • Write unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality and confidence in shipped features.
  • Contribute to shared component libraries, documentation, and frontend standards that benefit the broader team.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with
  • 2-4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React (hooks, context, performance optimization).
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive/accessible web design principles (WCAG).
  • Experience with frontend build tooling (Webpack, Vite, or similar) and version control with Git.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and experience integrating frontend applications with backend services.
  • Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Adobe's React Spectrum design system or similar component library ecosystems.
  • Full-stack experience with Node.js, Python, or Java — and comfort working with APIs, cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP), or serverless runtimes.
  • Familiarity with developer tooling, API platforms, CLIs, or developer portal experiences.
  • Exposure to web performance profiling, accessibility auditing, or design system contribution.
  • Experience working in a platform or ecosystem team serving external developers.
