Learning & Development Executive

Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. When you join our Hotels team, that’s exactly what you’ll do every time you come to work! You are responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive team member training and development programs to enhance team skills and performance; assessing training needs, designing and updating training courses to ensure that the training content matches the team members' job responsibilities and career paths; managing training budgets to ensure maximum return on training investment. As a Learning & Development Executive, you’re not just managing training initiatives for hotel team members – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:
- 1. Training program development
- Design and deliver engaging learning programs in line with hotel’s direction and goals
- Collaborate with department heads to develop programs in line with Career Development Plans (CDP) and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) for team members
- Coordinate with external training providers to fill in training needs gaps, when necessary - 2. Need Assessment
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and development opportunities to support succession planning initiatives
- Ensure all team members are groomed and behave according to brand standards and Hilton values - 3. Content Creation
- Develop and update training materials, engagement activity props and videos - 4. Program Evaluation
- Monitor and evaluate departmental training effectiveness using feedback, assessment or other performance metrics
- Conduct monthly trainees meeting - 5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with department heads and HR leaders to align training with business needs
- Expand and built rapport with existing and new higher learning institutions - 6. Learning Metrics & Reports
- Manage and maintain training records on a monthly basis
- Prepare reports pertaining to training as and when required - 7. Employee Support
- Provide coaching and support to employees on career development & learning pathways
- Support Service Manager- HR/L&D to foster team members engagement - 8. Learning & Development
- Develop and implement learning strategies and program to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Assess and facilitate discussion with department heads on training needs
- Conduct interviews for internship candidates - 9. Administrative Duties
- HRDC competent
- Ensure all monthly communication meetings minutes are submitted
- Coordinate pre-event/activities set ups via BEO, room checking and F&B arrangement
- Support Service Manager- HR/L&D in preparation for yearly HR Audit
- Support Service Manager – HR / L&D with QA Audit tracker and follow through
- Support all HR core events and programs under Hilton brand

In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years in L&D or HR, with a strong track record in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
- Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
- Skilled in instructional design, adult learning principles, and modern training methods (e.g., e-learning, blended learning).
- Proficient in assessing training effectiveness and aligning programs with business goals.
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to effectively manage training administration, monitor learning progress, and generate training reports.
- Strong verbal and written skills; able to engage and motivate diverse teams.
- Committed to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging training trends.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to identify needs and support performance improvement.
- Capable of managing training teams and multiple projects effectively.
