Accountabilities:
- Building reliable backend services in Go to support backup and restore workflows.
- Designing and implementing scalable solutions for cloud-based data management and protection systems.
- Developing SaaS integrations with platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Salesforce APIs, including authentication, pagination, synchronization, and error recovery.
- Writing high-quality, maintainable code with strong attention to correctness, reliability, and performance.
- Creating comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure system stability and quality.
- Participating in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Debugging and resolving production issues within assigned areas of ownership.
- Collaborating with DevOps teams on deployments, monitoring, infrastructure improvements, and on-call support.
- Contributing to the evolution of engineering practices, development standards, and platform scalability.
- Taking ownership of technical components while progressively increasing autonomy and impact.
- 5–8 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Go or demonstrated ability and willingness to adopt Go as a primary development language.
- Experience designing, developing, and operating backend services on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized service deployment.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases and API technologies such as REST or gRPC.
- Strong understanding of software testing practices, including writing tests alongside production code.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex engineering challenges.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Experience integrating with SaaS APIs such as Microsoft Graph, Google Workspace APIs, or Salesforce Bulk API.
- Familiarity with message queue technologies such as Kafka, SQS, or similar systems.
- Experience working with cloud object storage solutions such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Azure Blob Storage.
