Accountabilities
- Lead product development, formulation, process optimization, and manufacturing improvement projects across innovation, renovation, and productivity initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise to improve formulations, manufacturing processes, product performance, and cost efficiency.
- Manage product scale-up, validation, technology transfer, and commercialization activities with internal manufacturing sites and external partners.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate technical trials, qualification activities, and risk assessments to ensure successful product launches.
- Troubleshoot formulation, manufacturing, and quality issues while implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive project execution by monitoring timelines, managing priorities, and ensuring project objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing, and Research & Development teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Maintain technical documentation, including specifications, batch records, quality management documentation, and change control records.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to investigate technical challenges and improve manufacturing performance.
- Mentor junior team members and promote technical knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, cGMP requirements, quality systems, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in product development, formulation, manufacturing, or process engineering involving products such as tablets, capsules, liquids, powders, gummies, soft gels, packaging, or similar technologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading medium-complexity technical projects within cross-functional environments.
- Strong knowledge of product development processes, manufacturing operations, food science principles, and quality systems.
- Experience supporting product scale-up, validation, process optimization, and technology transfer initiatives.
- Previous manufacturing or factory experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with SAP, SPSS, Minitab, or similar analytical and manufacturing systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, project management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements, cGMP standards, and quality management systems.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% and work in environments where food allergens may be present.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $95,000 to $120,000, based on experience, skills, and location.
