Stage Technician - On Call

Responsible for the technical set-up requirements for all entertainment facilities of the Lake Tahoe properties. This includes load-ins, rigging, carpentry, special effects, lighting and sound.
- Operates lighting equipment such as the switchboard, spotlight and special effects.
- Unloads, hangs, and focuses lighting fixtures and special effects fixtures. Also unloads and sets up musical equipment.
- Constructs and paints physical scenic elements.
- Maintains fly system and rigs; maintains stage scenery, props and special effects elements.
- Maintains equipment such as cables, fixtures, spotters, switchboards and stage riggings.
Operates shows, including setting and striking scenic elements, props, microphones, and special effect elements.
- Carpentry
- Competent in the basic use of standard hand tools: hammer, screwdriver, tape measure, wrench
- Able to assist Lead Carpenter with basic set construction techniques
- Actively learning and improving upon additional/advanced carpentry skills and techniques
- Rigging
- Understands basic Harrah’s rigging requirements and techniques and able to assist Team
- Able to evaluate the safety of any given task
- 100% safety compliance record – always consults with an authority
- Is trained and competent in operating the fly rail system
- Actively learning additional rigging skills and techniques
- Sound
- Assists Sound Technicians in setting up and striking sound equipment
- Actively learning additional sound skills and techniques
- Lighting
- Responsible for hanging, circuiting, focusing and coloring lighting fixtures for all venues
- Capable of minor repairs: replacing lamps and connectors on fixtures
- Understands the use and proper installation of data lines
- Actively learning additional lighting skills and techniques
- Special Effects
- Capable of refilling equipment requiring fluids
- Understands and successfully able to control density levels of fog and other similar special effects
- Assists Pyrotechnician with basic set up – NOT operation
- Understands and can perform the set-up and operational check of Hydro systems (example: Night Club showers)
- Actively learning additional special effects skills and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or certified professional training preferred
- Minimum one year experience in stage or related field for level 1
- Minimum three years experience in stage or related field for level 2 and level 1 certifications in at least 3 of the 5 skill areas
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Basic knowledge of stage terminology
- Basic knowledge of stage work and/or carpentry
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
- Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
- Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to lift, carry push, pull and reposition large objects weighing in excess of 100 lbs
- Able to work at heights of 40 feet.
- Ability to stand and be physically active for eight hours
- Ability to frequently tolerate high noise levels
- Ability to work in a dark environment
- May be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
