This hands-on position involves working across all stages of the laundry operation, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distributing linen and uniforms. You will operate industrial laundry equipment, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, and contribute to the smooth daily operation of the department.

Laundry Operations
- Sort soiled linen into designated categories for processing.
- Safely operate industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folders.
- Manually fold hotel linen, including towels, bath mats, sheets, and other items.
- Process staff uniforms and guest laundry as required.
- Complete daily production sheets and documentation accurately.
- Monitor and replace chemical supplies when required.
- Transport soiled and clean linen between Hilton Cairns and DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns.
- Assist in maintaining productivity and quality standards throughout the department.
Workplace Health & Safety
- Follow all departmental and hotel Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Utilise Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
- Report health and safety concerns to Laundry leadership promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Ensure emergency exits and pathways remain clear at all times.
- Adhere to chemical handling and safety procedures.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
