In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to join our Rexel team in Houston, TX!Summary: The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting the mission and strategy of the branch. Responsible for the daily operations of the branch and is the acting manager in the absence of the branch manager. Additional responsibilities include safety, compliance, personnel, facility, inventory, equipment, and overall business results. What You'll Do: Work with the Branch Manager and branch personnel to drive profitability by utilizing company digital tools to maximize all aspects of branch performanceDevelop, train, and supervise associatesRecognize personnel problems and take corrective actions as neededDeal effectively with daily customer service issuesEstablish and maintain a relationship with key customersGreet and assist call-in and walk-in customers with the selection and delivery of products and servicesConduct/oversee inventory control procedures and warehouse housekeeping practicesImplement branch security and safety standards by conducting facility and asset inspections and take corrective actions to support controlsParticipate in inventory control and advise Branch Manager of problems to ensure customer demand is metMaintain branch facility, warehouse, and office equipmentSchedule branch staff to ensure daily coverageAssist Branch Manager with monitoring branch operating expenses and implement corrective actionsMake deliveries to branches/customers as requiredMay be required to perform other job functions within a branch when required including but not limited to counter sales, preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipmentPerform other duties as assignedJob Duties Disclaimer: The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
