**Summary:**
As a part of the Manufacturing Operations team for RL, you will be responsible for managing day to day operations with our global manufacturing partners in China.The Manufacturing Ops team defines and drives contract manufacturer (CM) operational capabilities and shapes the overarching operational strategy in alignment with the product development strategy and roadmap. The team collaborates cross functionally to assess risks on-site, provide solutions,ensure factory readiness,meet overall ramp goals and ensure the success of the ramp with short and long term capacity planning and execution to the end of life (EOL). You will be a key member of the Manufacturing Operations team and will partner closely with advanced manufacturing engineering , Quality, Test Engineering, Logistics, and our contract manufacturing partners providing early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new Glasses products are manufacturing-capable from concept, to mass production and through end of life. You will also collaborate with XFN to drive operational excellence, information intelligence, and sustainability at our contract manufacturer (CM) factories. You will play as a critical interface between contract manufacturers and Meta in this fast growth area.

Manufacturing Operations Manager – RL (Reality Labs) Responsibilities:
1. Dynamic Strategy Setting: Establish strategic-level operational goals within highly dynamic and rapidly changing AI Glasses business environments. Lead the design of new operational models, shape strategic partnerships with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) across Build-to-Order (BTO) and Postponement models, and navigate cross-functional project teams and vendors to ensure swift operational turnarounds.
2. Lifecycle & Demand Adaptability: Seamlessly transition operational focus throughout the product lifecycle—from New Product Introduction (NPI) to sustaining operations—and adeptly pivot from managing supply constraints to accurately fulfilling market demand.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key strategic bridge across highly matrixed internal teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Product) and external vendors. Break down functional silos, drive deep collaboration, and align diverse stakeholders toward unified operational goals.
4. Executive Communication & Stakeholder Leverage: Represent the Manufacturing Operations (MO) team in high-stakes "hotspot" situations. Deliver high-impact business insights and strategic updates to senior leadership, effectively leveraging VP- and Director-level support to clear critical roadblocks.
5. Factory Readiness & Flexible Production Management: Lead new CM factory bring-ups to support the RL roadmap. Assess existing CM capabilities to identify improvement areas, and define and execute operational strategies aligned with the product roadmap. Drive factory readiness through early CM engagement to ensure smooth product ramps. Own early-stage factory planning across campus layout, capacity, Manufacturing Lead Time (LT) design, material flow, and labor planning. Manage factory production with agility and flexibility to accurately respond to fluctuating demand and engineering requirements.
6. Lifecycle Operation Management: Direct line conversions between programs to optimize CapEx reuse and factory-level ECN & PRQ execution, while actively participating in the justification review board. Oversee manufacturing execution at the CM—governing production planning, capacity and space utilization, labor management, factory costs, and MES/production reporting—to guarantee the factory consistently meets operational performance targets.
7. Smart Factory Innovation: Lead Smart Factory development by driving operational improvement, developing information intelligence, and supporting sustainability initiatives.
8. People Development & Leadership: Champion people experiences by actively coaching, mentoring, and developing team members (direct reports or project team members). Foster a culture of continuous learning, career growth, and technical upskilling to build a high-performing operations team.

9. 10+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing, strong background in operational relative roles
10. Strong leadership can influence different layers of the organization, and hold xfn accountability to achieve team goals under dynamic situations
11. Ability to operate in an ambiguity environment and quickly adjust themselves to new conditions . Can identify and leverage opportunities for themselves to build resilience and capacity for change to support business requirements
12. Great strategic thinking to solve difficult problems and have a clear vision of future industry trends for operation. Can leverage their expertise to creatively solve problems and have deep understanding of a future factory in operational excellence and information intelligence development etc
13. Strong communication skills, can effectively communicate relevant information across a variety of media in a way that others find engaging, adapting style. And engages and persuades stakeholders and XFN through effective communication
14. Demonstrated technical skills and experience, including a detailed understanding of Final Assembly, Test, Pack and SMT processes
15. Proven project management experience (Planning, Cost, & Delivery)
16. Ability to frequent travel within Mainland China with some travel to Asia Pacific region and US

17. Experience in AI-Glass industry with high-volume and fast ramp pace with a large numner of SKUs operation management, bring-up/ qualify and transfer manufacturing in different areas/ region

19. Data and facts driven, able to understand and navigate complex issues, provide solutions.Proven interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
20. Experience with transferring, setting up, and qualifying manufacturing operations across different geographic areas or regions
