About HealthEdge
HealthEdge is a leading healthcare SaaS company delivering modern, cloud-native solutions that transform how health plans operate. With a global workforce spanning the US, India, Philippines, Mexico, and the UK, our Business Technology team powers the tools and platforms that keep HealthEdge running at scale – and Atlassian is at the center of how work gets done across the organization.
Role Overview
The Atlassian Administrator is a hands-on platform administration role responsible for the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and user support of HealthEdge's Atlassian environment, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence. Working within the Atlassian Products team and reporting to the Manager, Atlassian Products, you will be a key execution resource for platform requests, project configuration, user management, and basic automation – ensuring that thousands of users across the organization can work effectively in Atlassian tools every day.
This is a great role for someone with solid Atlassian fundamentals who wants to deepen their platform expertise in a complex, high-scale environment. You'll work closely with Senior Atlassian Administrators, Architects, and the team manager, taking on well-defined configuration tasks and growing toward more advanced solution design and automation work over time. As HealthEdge moves fully to Atlassian Cloud Enterprise, this role will grow to include working with AI-native features like Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo — making content governance and platform hygiene directly connected to AI quality.
What You'll Do
Platform Administration & Configuration
- Administer Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence in a cloud environment
- Create and maintain Jira projects, boards, workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, and screens under the guidance of senior team members
- Configure and manage JSM service desk projects including request types, queues, SLA configurations, and portal settings
- Manage Confluence spaces, page permissions, templates, and basic macros to support team knowledge management
- Perform user and group management including account creation, license assignments, group membership, and access reviews
- Process and fulfill Atlassian support requests from end users, maintaining SLA compliance in the team's JSM queue
Automation & Reporting
- Build and maintain native Jira and JSM automation rules for common workflows – ticket routing, notifications, field updates, and status transitions
- Create and maintain dashboards, saved filters, and basic reports to support team and stakeholder visibility
- Assist with Confluence automation and page template maintenance
- Support testing and rollout of automation changes developed by Senior Administrators
User Support & Enablement
- Serve as a first point of contact for Atlassian support requests, resolving common configuration and usage questions
- Escalate complex or high-impact issues to Senior Atlassian Administrators with clear documentation and context
- Assist in onboarding new users and teams to Atlassian tools, including basic training and guidance on project setup
- Contribute to and maintain Atlassian knowledge base articles and how-to documentation for end users
Governance & Housekeeping
- Perform routine platform hygiene tasks including inactive user cleanup, stale project reviews, and unused field or scheme audits
- Assist with license usage tracking and reporting to support renewal planning
- Follow and help enforce Atlassian governance standards for project naming, permissions, and configuration consistency
- Support audit and compliance activities related to Atlassian access and configuration
Project & Team Support
- Assist Senior Administrators and the team manager with larger configuration projects, migrations, and platform improvement initiatives
- Participate in testing and validation of Atlassian upgrades, app changes, and configuration rollouts
- Document changes accurately in accordance with team change management practices
What You'll Bring
Required
- 2–4 years of hands-on Jira and/or Confluence administration experience in a corporate environment
- Working knowledge of Jira Software project types, workflows, permission schemes, and issue configuration
- Experience configuring and supporting Jira Service Management (JSM) service desk projects
- Familiarity with Confluence space administration, page permissions, and content organization
- Experience with native Jira automation rules
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills – platform hygiene and accuracy matter in this role
- Good written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests and prioritize effectively
Preferred
- Experience with Atlassian Cloud (vs. Data Center/Server only)
- Atlassian certification (ACP-120 Jira Administration or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps (ScriptRunner, Elements Connect, or similar)
- Familiarity with Atlassian Intelligence or Rovo
- Exposure to ITIL frameworks or service management best practices
- Basic scripting or REST API exposure (not required, but a strong differentiator)
- Experience working in a global, multi-time zone organization
What Success Looks Like
Within 90 days, you are independently handling the majority of day-to-day Atlassian support requests, have a solid working knowledge of HealthEdge's project and space structure, and are contributing to platform hygiene initiatives. Within six months, you are building and maintaining automation rules confidently, your queue work is consistently within SLA, and stakeholders are getting reliable, well-configured solutions from you. Within a year, you have grown your platform depth meaningfully, are contributing to larger configuration projects, and are beginning to take on more complex solution design work with senior team support.
About the Team
You'll join a dedicated Atlassian Products team within Business Technology, focused on making Jira, JSM, and Confluence work well for thousands of users across a complex global organization. The team values platform rigor, clean governance, and user-focused solutions – and invests in growing the skills of everyone on it. This role is an excellent entry point into a team where strong administrators can grow into senior and lead positions over time.
