As a Breakfast Chef, you’re not just overseeing the preparation of high-quality dishes – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Prepare great tasting dishes: Ensure breakfast, buffet items, and other dishes are prepared and presented to a high quality and according to company guidelines
- Supervise the kitchen team: Oversee line cooks to ensure and provide support as needed in the absence of senior chefs to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness: Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and free of cross-contamination
- Ensure food quality and storage compliance: Monitor ingredient quality, ensuring proper storage and stock rotation
- Assist with cost management: Contribute to controlling food costs, improving gross profit margins, and meeting departmental financial targets
- Inspire and develop the team: Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment
- Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
What It Takes to Make the Stay
We are looking for a creative Breakfast Chef with a completed vocational training. Someone who has:
- Completed vocational training (level 3) is a plus
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position
- Excellent product knowledge and a well-developed taste palet
- Strong communication skills
- Perfect hygiene standards and an eye for detail
- Passion for the profession
- Flexible to work between Monday and Sunday
- You are a morning person and can start at 04:15 in the morning
- Stress-resistant and eager to learn
- Motivated to grow within the organization
- Good command of the Dutch and/or English language
- In possession of a valid work and residence permit for the Netherlands
