In this position...

A Final Assembly Engineering Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing program cost study inputs from <PS> until <PA> (support <MR> studies as required); managing all aspects of the DPA5 process from UN/UPV0 to UN/UPV2, develop process sheets and PFMEAs; define control methods to support the Control Plan; execute P-Release; work with counterparts in APD and PD to resolve product design and manufacturing issues quickly; incorporate new technologies and automation into the DPA5 process to improve delivery and quality; collaborate with the  Strategies Team to incorporate new standard assembly processes, tooling, and facilities that accommodate new technologies or efficiency improvements; and drive labor efficiencies and complexity reductions where possible during the review of new content/features development.

 

What you'll do...

  • Complete program cost studies from <PS> until <PA> (support <MR> studies as required)
  • Manage all aspects of the DPA5 process from UN/UPV0 until UN/UPV2, develop process sheets, PFMEA’s; define control methods to support the Control Plan, and execute P-Release
  • Work with counterparts in APD and PD to resolve product design and manufacturing issues quickly
  • Incorporate new technologies and automation into the DPA5 process to improve delivery and quality
  • Collaborate with ATP, PD, Core Engineering to incorporate new standard assembly processes, tooling, and facilities that accommodate new technologies or efficiency improvements
  • Drive labor efficiencies and complexity reductions where possible during the review of new content/features development
  • Assure parts follow the standards, and the process will deliver the right capability

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering Based Preferred)
  • 1+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing
  • 1+ years’ experience in core, launch and/or operations capacity
  • Must be open to travel as needed to support our North American Assembly Plants


 

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.


Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
