Serving as a Media Support Branch Chief GS-0301-14 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is within the Media Support Branch (MSB), Office of Public Affairs (OPA) under the Director's Office (DO) and located in Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct oversight, administration, and supervision of a broad range of complex media and publishing services provided to the FLETC enterprise at all training delivery points, as well as a variety of federal agencies that partner with the FLETC. Typical duties include: Manages and coordinates MSB's annual budgetary requirements commensurate with guidance from the Chief, Office of Public Affairs. Creates and manages the policy, procedure, guidance, and governance supporting the delivery of media services. Establishes standards and repeatable processes to reduce waste, redundancy, and inefficiency in MSB operations. Responsible for producing and overseeing still photo and video content archives and ensuring proper information management of all historical content. Assists subordinates in establishing tactical goals and objectives aligned to FLETC's and DHS' strategic goals and objectives; inspires and motivates subordinates toward their achievement. Develops, reviews, and refines policies and procedures, evaluates and adjusts staffing and financial resources, and establishes performance goals for organizational media services.
