We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex issues and explain them in person and also via well written, simple blog posts, FAQs, video scripts and more. As a member of our Central Communications team, you will be a part of the team responsible for Google’s most executive leaders and telling the stories of our products, strategy, and culture. You will lead on preparing speeches, op-eds, blog posts, video scripts and more around complex issues and technical breakthroughs. And you will be part of the creative engine that goes beyond traditional comms approaches to build trust with audiences, including policymakers, creators, journalists, and other key opinion formers. It's our job to help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. To succeed here, you'll combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators, or producing internal communications and events for our employees. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $171000 - $248000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more aboutbenefits at Google (https://www.google.com/about/careers/applications/benefits/) . **Responsibilities** + Lead speechwriting and editorial for exceutive leaders across channels (including but not limited to blogs, op-eds, video scripts, internal communications). + Work cross functionally with teams across global communications, marketing, product, and policy to produce high quality, high volume content for external and internal audiences. + Maintain editorial calendar, keeping up to date with the latest company and product announcements and creating data-driven strategies to inject executive voice. + Develop and pitch creative ideas for editorial and content, going beyond traditional channels and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. + Pitch in on content development for social media, briefings, talking point, company narratives and special projects as needed.
