The AV Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of all audio visual services within the hotel, ensuring the successful setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment for meetings, conferences, banquets, and special events. The role works closely with the Events, Banquet, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality technical support and exceptional guest experiences.
The AV Supervisor ensures all audio visual systems, including sound, lighting, projection, video conferencing, and related equipment, are maintained in excellent working condition. This position is also responsible for supervising AV team members, troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating event requirements, and ensuring compliance with Hilton standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
The successful candidate must possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering outstanding service to both internal and external customers.

Train, supervise and discipline staff as necessary for a smooth operation
Anticipate all required materials and supplies and assure their availability for service all the time.
Observe and report daily conditions of all AV equipment in the hotel; make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
Ensure a safe working environment for all team members within the area.
Maintain consistent communication between staff and with upper management as well as maintaining effective communication with employees and other departments.
Promote teamwork and foster a harmonious working climate.
Promote good public relations and handle complaints or concerns of guests by using the appropriate system.
Complete all accident reports promptly
Complete AV inventories directly involved with the operations of the Area.
Ability to provide and supervise and repairs as outlined in the technical skills list depending on grade level, for audio visual system.
Ability to setup, operate and maintain audio visual equipment’s and components.
Ability to provide and supervise audio set-ups for exhibits, conventions and special events including the maintenance of such all equipment.
Being able to install audio visual and low voltage electrical wiring for renovations, components additions and associated equipment.
In addition, this role requires the following minimum qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Audio Visual operations, preferably in a hotel, convention center, or event venue environment.
- Previous supervisory experience in Audio Visual operations is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of audio, video, lighting, projection, and conference equipment.
- Experience in setting up and operating sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, and video conferencing systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally.
- Good understanding of event requirements and banquet operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on operational needs.
Good command of spoken and written English.
- Customer-focused with the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
