Position Summary:
This job is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet client expectations, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs.
The Senior Product Manager – Identity Secrets Management is accountable for the end‑to‑end product lifecycle of enterprise vaulting technologies. This includes defining product vision, managing roadmaps, overseeing releases, prioritizing enhancements, and ensuring operational excellence across CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, and cloud‑based secrets management platforms (e.g., Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, GCP Secret Manager).
The role partners closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application development, cloud engineering, and risk/compliance teams to ensure vaulting platforms are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Acting as the primary product owner, this role balances strategic outcomes with hands‑on execution, vendor engagement, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities:
- Generates the vision and roadmap for the program based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain
- Communicates the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners and the teams
- Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working closely with finance partners on both personnel and non-personnel expenses
- Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them
- Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and capacity teammates
- Develops business cases for new products and additional features for existing products
- Partners with the product owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and subject-matter expertise and understanding of the business and industry trends
- Own the product vision and multi‑year roadmap for enterprise secrets management and vaulting platforms
- Manage the full product lifecycle: ideation, intake, prioritization, delivery, release, and continuous improvement
- Act as the primary product owner for CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, and external cloud vaulting services
- Lead demand intake for new features, integrations, and enhancements, translating business and security needs into clear product requirements
- Partner with engineering and platform teams to plan and execute releases, upgrades, and platform expansions
- Define and track product KPIs (availability, adoption, automation coverage, security posture, resiliency)
- Ensure alignment with IAM, PAM, Zero Trust, and ITDR strategies
- Collaborate with risk, audit, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory and policy adherence
- Manage vendor relationships, licensing strategy, and product‑level financials
- Serve as an executive‑level point of contact for vaulting platform strategy and outcomes
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership within enterprise technology environments
- Deep expertise in Identity Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Hands‑on product leadership experience with CyberArk and/or HashiCorp Vault
- Strong understanding of secrets management, credential lifecycle, and key management concepts
- Proven experience owning roadmaps, backlogs, and release plans for security or infrastructure platforms
- Ability to translate security, compliance, and engineering requirements into consumable product features
- Experience working in hybrid and cloud environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud‑native vaulting services (Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, GCP Secret Manager)
- Familiarity with Zero Trust, ITDR, and Policy‑as‑Code approaches
- Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD integration, and infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience supporting regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, insurance, etc.)
- Strong understanding of resiliency, high availability, and disaster recovery for security platforms
- Agile, SAFe, or Lean product management certification
