The Senior Principal Program Manager, Community Relations will lead the execution of OCI’s community relations strategy for AI data center development. This senior leader will build messaging and programming to support community engagement, They will also partner with on-the-ground community engagement managers to develop trusted relationships with community groups, civic leaders, city council members, labor representatives, and other stakeholders who influence how OCI is perceived and how quickly projects move forward. The role will translate complex project activity into clear, credible, community-centered engagement that helps OCI grow responsibly while protecting execution speed and long-term reputation.
Job Duties
Spearheads the prioritization of critical products and features by evaluating business value, feasibility, and user needs, ensuring alignment with Oracle's goals and strategies. Champions the engagement of key strategic customers, non-customers, partners and industry analysts to obtain market information and discover opportunities for critical product portfolio/product areas. Develops advanced strategies to identify customer needs and market opportunities, guiding teams to develop highly complex solutions and validate them. Advises team members and leads in maintaining the roadmap for multiple products/features, drives delivery excellence, and proactively fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Acts as an innovation leader across the Line of Business (LOB) and steers the comprehensive strategy and direction of products, leading initiatives and setting the long-term vision. Advocates for the implementation of innovative methodologies for new feature development. Champions the sharing of strategic insights with cross-functional partners and Lines of Business (LOB). Owns and strategizes initiatives to drive transformative business impact across LOB and oversees standards of success metrics criteria and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs, KPIs) for multiple products. Provides strategic mentorship to peers on meeting the customer's needs throughout the product lifecycle and prioritizes critical customer issues. Strategically engages key customers to gather in-depth feedback and align product capabilities with highly valued customers' evolving business goals. Champions the go-to-market efforts, leads recruitment and support to key early adopters, and defines and tracks product adoption metrics for multiple product portfolios to drive adoption and product improvement.
Team Responsibilities
- Build and lead the community relations messaging and engagement strategy for OCI AI data center expansion.
- Develop proactive engagement plans alongside Community Engagement Managers for local residents, civic organizations, unions, elected officials, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare for emerging issues and create response plans to meet the needs of the moment.
- Partner with internal teams to align messaging, project milestones, and external commitments.
- Represent OCI in meetings, forums, and public settings with clarity, calm, and credibility.
- Track stakeholder sentiment, key issues, commitments, and follow-up actions.
- Create narratives and briefing materials that help executives communicate with confidence.
- Support permitting, site readiness, and community alignment through disciplined external engagement.
Team Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, external affairs, government relations, or a closely related field.
- Proven success managing sensitive, high-visibility stakeholder environments.
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, and issue management skills.
- Experience working across multiple functions in fast-moving, complex organizations.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in hostile or high-pressure public settings.
- Demonstrated skill in building trust with community leaders, public officials, and internal partners.
- Experience supporting infrastructure, industrial, energy, telecom, data center, or similarly complex projects preferred.
- Available to travel frequently to events, meetings, or forums across the US.
