GE Aerospace Engine Services Malaysia (GEESM) in Subang plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of aviation fleets every day. Established in 1997 as a Center of Excellence for CFM56 engines, GEESM has grown into a key hub of our global operations. It now services commercial aircraft engines, components, and accessories.

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking interns to support the FLIGHT DECK team in driving workplace organization, visual management, and continuous improvement activities across operational areas. This role will provide hands-on support for daily execution and sustainment of FLIGHT DECK activities, including 5S, Daily Management, Standard Work, visual controls, data collection and analysis (including time and waste observations), and Kaizen event support.
This internship is a strong opportunity for students to gain practical exposure to lean operations, daily management, standard work, and continuous improvement in a MRO environment.
**Role Overview:**
+ Support 5S, workplace organization, and visual management activities across the shopfloor
+ Assist with setup and upkeep of Daily Management boards, ESN boards, standard work displays, flow lines and other lean initiatives.
+ Conduct shopfloor process observations, time studies, and data collection and analysis to support improvement efforts.
+ Help document Standard Work and identify opportunities to improve flow and reduce waste.
+ Support Kaizen events and trainings through preparation, coordination, and follow-up activities.
+ Track basic performance metrics and help organize information for FLIGHT DECK activities.
+ Provide general team and administrative support as needed.
**Ideal Candidate:**
+ Strong communicator who works well independently and engages confidently on the shop floor. Proactive, willing to learn, and enthusiastic about applying Lean principles to drive measurable improvements
+ Good communication and teamwork skills
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and support a fast-paced operational environment
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint)
