Pilot plants at UOP are bench scale assemblies of high-pressure equipment where experiments are conducted for the purpose of catalyst and process development for the Refinery and Petrochemical industries.
You will report directly to our Sr R&D Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our McCook, Illinois location on an On-site work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As a shift Operator you will operate, monitor, and take readings on group of pilot plants.
- This includes collecting samples for the labs to analyze.
- You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area.
- Make use of the Honeywell Operating System to continuously make improvements.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Experience in a research and development or laboratory environment
- Strong background in areas such as materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields
WE VALUE:
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights) which includes some weekends and holidays
- Basic math and computer skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Working safely at all times
- Familiar with using tools
- Creative problem solving
- Handling of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals
The annual base salary range for this position is $44,800 - $56,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
