Job Title: Facilities CoordinatorCompany: AstroForgeLocation: On-Site
About AstroForgeAt AstroForge, our mission is to make space resources accessible on Earth. We mine asteroids to extract valuable minerals in space at a lower cost and smaller carbon footprint than current terrestrial mining methods. Along the way, we seek to leverage the technologies we build to provide additional value across other domains. We offer a unique opportunity to join an exciting team looking to expand humanity's capabilities in space.
Position SummaryAs a Facilities Coordinator at AstroForge, you'll help keep materials and hardware moving through the building, supporting the team across purchasing, logistics, and inventory. You'll work closely with engineering, supply chain, and facilities to help ensure materials arrive where they're needed, when they're needed, in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and reliability matter. This role is designed as an entry point into AstroForge's growing supply chain organization, giving you hands-on exposure to procurement, inventory systems, and vendor relationships as a foundation for growth into roles like Buyer or Materials Planner.
We're a startup, and that means the day doesn't always look like the job description. You'll be a great fit if you're comfortable pitching in wherever the team needs it - organizing a workspace so parts are easier to find, helping tidy up before an investor visit, or driving a part to a vendor yourself to save time. We're looking for someone flexible and hands-on who's excited to grow with us as we figure things out together.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support purchasing activities, including placing and tracking orders.
  • Receive and process incoming shipments, checking for accuracy and flagging issues as needed.
  • Help prepare and coordinate outbound shipments, including required documentation.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory records and organized storage areas.
  • Communicate with vendors on orders, timelines, and delivery issues.
  • Support the broader team with material needs as they come up.
  • Pitch in on general facilities and workspace upkeep as needed - this is a hands-on, all-hands-on-deck environment.

Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience in purchasing, shipping/receiving, warehouse, or supply chain support - internships count.
  • Comfortable with basic inventory or ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar); willingness to learn AstroForge's systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies before they become problems.
  • Basic proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for tracking orders and inventory.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate basic warehouse equipment (pallet jack, hand truck).
  • Valid driver's license and comfort running local errands (vendor drop-offs/pickups) as needed.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or coursework in supply chain, logistics, or business.
  • Familiarity with export control basics (ITAR/EAR) given the regulated nature of space hardware.
  • Forklift certification (current or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, or hardware startup environment.

Why Join Us?At AstroForge, you’ll be at the forefront of space exploration and resource acquisition, working on challenges that have never been tackled before.
