Lead Maintenance Technician

What this job involves:

As a Lead Maintenance Technician at JLL, you'll maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned facilities while supporting our engineering team. You'll handle diverse maintenance tasks—from preventive inspections and equipment repairs to responding to tenant requests and performing general building upkeep. What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Assist engineering teams with maintenance, inspection, and repair of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Complete painting, pressure cleaning, minor plumbing repairs, locksmith services, and tenant service requests

  • Perform general interior maintenance including hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture

  • Maintain lighting systems by replacing bulbs and ballasts throughout facilities

  • Conduct scheduled property inspections and preventive maintenance

  • Comply with all safety procedures while maintaining clean, organized work areas

Required qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants and team members

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with State, County, and City ordinances, codes, and laws

  • Flexibility to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team depending on project needs

  • Valid driver Licence

Shift:   Monday to Friday 7:00 to 3:00 or 6:00 to 2:00. Availability to respond to after-hours and emergency calls as needed

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to climb a 30-foot ladder when necessary

Preferred qualifications:

  • Trade school certification, union training, military service, or college education in a related technical field

  • Experience working in commercial property or facility maintenance environments

  • Familiarity with building management systems and computerized maintenance management software

  • HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications or licenses

  • Proven track record of identifying and proposing solutions to eliminate safety hazards

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
