REINSURANCE ACCOUNTANT – BERMUDA – US$110-140,000 – ONLY 10% TAX – HR302

About this opportunity

Our client is a reinsurer based in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Production of quarterly and annual financial statements, and analysis of financial results 
• Working alongside management, you will drive continual review and improvement of finance processes, internal controls and wider controls
• Co-ordinate the annual audit in cooperation with external auditors
• Preparation and filing of statutory financial returns to the Bermuda Monetary Authority
• Ensure all your clients' agreements and Re/Insurance policies are in place 
• Monitor collateral requirements and administer letters of credit

What you'll need

• A professional accountancy designation (ACA, CA, CPA or ACCA) with 2-5 years' post-qualification experience 
• Experience preparing financial statements and collaborating with clients and external auditors
• External audit experience working on clients in the offshore Re/Insurance sector a definite asset 
• A first-rate professional work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are highly valued 
• You may need to work overtime on occasion

Preference will be given to applicants already based in Bermuda with re/insurance experience (either in auditing and/or financial accounting).
