Who We Are
FedEx is the largest express transportation company in the world, connecting more than 220 countries and territories. We work every moment to deliver the most important package of someone’s day. Our team of 530,000 passionate people know their day-to-day work is invaluable in delivering an outstanding experience to our customers. Our reach is big, and so are our dreams.
Join us as a Senior Marketing Specialist. You will sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, translating corporate direction into tangible solutions that help FedEx compete and win.
Purpose of the Role
The Senior Marketing Specialist acts as the product owner for industry-wide solutions, blending strategic marketing with hands-on execution. You will manage the full product lifecycle—Assess, Build, Launch, and Evaluate (ABLE)—to create executable value for customers. Your mission is to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and solutions we can bring to the market.
How You’ll Work
You will be embedded in our marketing team focused on key industry segments and verticals. You will collaborate extensively with regional stakeholders, including Sales, Planning & Engineering (P&E), IT & Digital, Pricing, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams and others.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Development (Assess & Build)
- Lead market assessments to identify specific service gaps within key industry verticals.
- Translate broad strategic themes into detailed product requirements and executable value propositions.
- Build robust business cases to justify investment in new industry-specific capabilities or service enhancements.
- Partner with P&E and Solution teams to ensure the operational viability of proposed solutions.
- Work with IT & Digital to ensure customer-facing platforms support the specific needs of our diverse shippers.
Go-to-Market & Commercialization (Launch & Evaluate)
- Drive the commercialization of new services, ensuring Sales and GTM teams are equipped with the right tools and messaging to win.
- Own the "customer narrative" by defining how FedEx solutions solve specific industry pain points.
- Monitor product performance post-launch; track KPIs and financial impact to iterate on service design.
Program Management
- Lead cross-functional teams (Sales, IT, P&E, Pricing, etc.) through the end-to-end process of building and launching new services.
- Manage the product roadmap across targeted verticals, prioritizing features based on market demand and ROI.
- Coordinate complex projects across regions to ensure global alignment and EU region execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding the health and progress of service initiatives.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in product management, product marketing, or commercial strategy.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment to deliver complex projects on time.
- Proven ability to structure complex problems and build business cases.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to craft clear narratives for senior leadership.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
FedEx was built on a philosophy that puts people first, one we take seriously. We are an equal opportunity employer and we are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce in which we provide growth opportunities for all
Our Company
FedEx Express is one of the world's largest express transportation companies and has consistently been selected as one of the top 10 World’s Most Admired Companies by "Fortune" magazine. Every day FedEx delivers for its customers with transportation and business solutions, serving more than 220 countries and territories around the globe. We can serve this global network due to our outstanding team of FedEx team members, who are tasked with making every FedEx experience outstanding.
Our Philosophy
The People-Service-Profit philosophy (P-S-P) describes the principles that govern every FedEx decision, policy or activity. FedEx takes care of our people; they, in turn, deliver the impeccable service demanded by our customers, who reward us with the profitability necessary to secure our future. The essential element in making the People-Service-Profit philosophy such a positive force for the company is where we close the circle, and return these profits back into the business, and invest back in our people.
Our success in the industry is attributed to our people. Through our P-S-P philosophy, we have a work environment that encourages team members to be innovative in delivering the highest possible quality of service to our customers. We care for their well-being, and value their contributions to the company.
Our Culture
Our culture is important for many reasons, and we intentionally bring it to life through our behaviors, actions and activities in every part of the world. The FedEx culture and values have been a cornerstone of our success and growth since we began in the early 1970’s. While other companies can copy our systems, infrastructure and processes, our culture makes us unique and is often a differentiating factor as we compete and grow in today’s global marketplace.
