Job Description
A Trade Compliance Planner is an individual contributor within the supply chain organization. You will ensure compliance with internal procedures to all applicable customs regulations. The regulations apply when we transact products, services, and technology across borders, in or through bonded warehouses and free/foreign trade zones. Able to instruct how you process, archive and report information related to those transactions to relevant governments and internally. Ensure legal compliance and provide logistics administration and control within government and corporate rules and regulations. Contribute to the practices of minimizing costs and productivity.
You will report to Trad compliance leader
Your Responsibilities:
Main Activities and Responsibilities: 1 Attends classification differences and works with appropriate contacts to prevent delays in brokerage process.
2 Works to coordinate certification requirements (AEO Cert)
3 Ensure procedures meet supply chain secutiry program's standards.
4 Analyze and implements special regimes required by operations (FTZ, temporary imports).
5 Conducts internal audits and parterns with third-party consultants to assess internal procedures.
6 Measures timing and service levels of customs brokers with standard metrics and KPI's.
7 Performs site audits and end-to-end assessments of import and export process.
8 Evaluates, confirms and approved documentation used in customs operations.
9 Ensure that SOP's (Standar Operation Process) describe the current operational state. Update and coordinate with appropriate contacts.
10 Responds to compliance requests and participates in department projects as assigned.
11 Maintains inventory control system records updated (Trade Compliance Planners at MX mfg plants).
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Bachelor Degree in International Commerce or any Economical Sciences. 2 to 3 Years of Experience in Foreign Trade
English (70%)
