To help deliver on this mission, we are seeking a Principal, Medicaid Product Marketing to lead the development of marketing strategies that support Humana’s Medicaid business and the Healthy Horizons brand. The Principal, Medicaid Product Marketing will ensure that our messaging resonates with diverse populations and drives awareness, engagement, and trust in the communities we serve. This role is ideal for a strategic marketer who deeply understands health insurance products and how to develop campaign strategies that deliver results in a fast-paced, and regulated environment.
This position will reside within the Insurance Marketing team which is part of the broader Enterprise Growth team. They will extensively collaborate with the following partners: Market Presidents, Product, Clinical & Quality, Consumer Insights & Analytics, Lifecycle Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Marketing Data & Technology.
Role Responsibilities
As a key member of Humana’s Product Marketing team, you will drive product marketing strategy across lines of business and member segments.
Lead the development of integrated marketing strategies for Medicaid and Healthy Horizons, aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Product, Brand, Compliance, and Market teams to ensure culturally relevant and compliant messaging.
Oversee campaign planning, creative development, and performance tracking.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Medicaid audiences, market dynamics, and communication best practices.
Guide cross-functional teams in executing high-impact, community-focused marketing initiatives.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
10+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, with a focus on Medicaid or government programs.
Deep understanding of Medicaid regulations, member engagement strategies, and culturally competent communications.
Proven leadership in cross-functional collaboration and campaign development.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Compliance, Legal, and marketing creative.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex policy and market dynamics into actionable marketing strategies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and external partners.
Preferred:
Master’s degree or certification in Marketing, Communications or Business.
Experience working directly with state Medicaid agencies, managed care organizations (MCOs), or CMS.
Background in multicultural marketing or health equity initiatives.
Familiarity with CMS guidelines and Medicaid-specific engagement strategies.
Additional Information
This position may require up to 15% travel.
This position operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
