Accountabilities:
- Perform advanced financial clearance activities for complex patient cases while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution.
- Review patient accounts in detail to identify and resolve complex insurance, authorization, and payer-related issues.
- Manage high-cost and specialized service cases requiring advanced knowledge of payer policies and healthcare financial processes.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, scheduling teams, and internal stakeholders to address clearance barriers and improve patient access.
- Handle escalated financial discussions with patients, including high-dollar and point-of-service collection activities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for financial clearance processes, policies, and best practices.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced team members to strengthen team capabilities.
- Support onboarding activities and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and compliant processes.
- Monitor changes in payer requirements and recommend updates to internal workflows and procedures.
- Analyze clearance outcomes, identify trends, and prepare reports to support leadership decision-making.

- Ability to analyze account details, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements and healthcare financial regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and internal teams.
- Experience mentoring, training, or supporting the development of colleagues is preferred.
