Become the Medical Staff Credentialing Specialist you always wanted to be
- Processes medical staff applications for multiple hospitals correctly, completely, and timely.
- Ensure applications flow through required committees in a timely manner.
- Ensure all credentialing documents with expiration dates are current.
- Maintain a database of credentialed medical staff and advanced practice professionals.
- Provide medical staff rosters and delineations of privileges to the appropriate hospital staff.
- Participate in surveys (accreditation/ regulatory) with respect to medical staff affairs.
- Maintain confidentiality of all credentialing information and medical staff meetings
Qualifications
- CPCS or CPMSM preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Five year's experience in medical staff credentialing preferred.
