Payments - CEEMEA Core Cash Payments Product Lead - Vice President- Dubai
Payments Product Management is a dynamic and diverse Product team responsible for product strategy, development and commercialization of the payments solutions that J.P. Morgan delivers to global clients. These product solutions cover across CEEMEA countries and support our corporate and financial clients.
As a Product Lead - Vice President with in the CEEMEA Country Product Management team, you will be responsible for supporting the firm’s strategy, product capability and development in United Arab Emirates as well as more broadly in the Middle East and Africa region. This includes roll out and seamless implementation of the Payment services that J.P. Morgan wishes to deliver to its clients. In addition, the Product Lead will ensure that the strategy is built for purpose, in accordance with local market practice, regulatory landscape and product requirements. The role includes extensive collaboration with multiple external and internal stakeholder groups e.g. Regulator(s), Functional Product Managers, Sales, Operations, Client Service, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Legal.
Job responsibilities
Implement Payments’ product strategy through end-to-end understanding of how the UAE market works and how payment products can be deployed in the country for J.P. Morgan’s clients.
Implement the country expansion strategy by taking ownership of the requirements and driving the project build on TS/Corporate banking products (Accounts, Payables & Receivables, Liquidity, Client channels, Customs Cards etc.). This would be by working closely with Regulator, Customer groups, Sales, Operations, Technology and Implementations team while keeping all stakeholders informed on the progress and managing any escalations.
Anticipate internal and external factors impacting the country build and implement plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities
Define the medium and long-term strategy in line with the defined strategy of functional product managers, i.e. Core cash, Liquidity, Access, FX, etc
Manage and coach Product manager associate
Develop commercialization and communication plans for new solutions
Through creative thinking, leverage partner solutions, Fintechs and innovation, grow capabilities and footprint in the region
Represent J.P. Morgan at local industry meetings and forums where appropriate
Strong control over financial planning and development of a detailed revenue plan whilst driving down cost base.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in building and delivering payment or growth strategy for a financial institution in conjunction with regulatory bodies.
Experience in building and implementing Treasury services/Corporate banking products (Payables & Receivables, Liquidity, Client channels, Customs Cards etc.) through management of large country level projects & Demonstrated ability for strategic thinking and influencing at all levels
Intellectually curious with ‘constant improvement’ mindset and strong attention to detail including providing guidance on building current account capabilities and payment systems
Ability to quickly build strong partnerships, credibility and influence with technology, functional partners, and senior management
Experience in managing and motivating teams from a diverse backgrounds and seniority
Commercially minded individual with creative problem solving, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
Strong presentation and communication skills both with clients and internal partners
