Accountabilities:

    • Provide legal guidance across all stages of real estate development projects, including land acquisition, due diligence, permitting, construction, financing, leasing, and asset disposition.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex legal agreements such as purchase agreements, development contracts, leases, construction agreements, and financing documents.
    • Manage legal risks associated with real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
    • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on real estate, construction, and development-related regulatory frameworks.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams including development, finance, construction, and operations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Interface with external stakeholders such as government agencies, lenders, investors, consultants, and counterparties to support project execution.
    • Stay up to date with legal and market developments in real estate, construction, and related industries.
    • Requirements:

      • Law degree from a recognized university, with active bar admission in the country of residence.
      • 5+ years of experience in real estate law, with strong focus on development, transactions, and construction-related matters.
      • Prior experience in construction, real estate disputes, or complex development projects is required.
      • Strong understanding of real estate development processes, regulations, and contractual structures.
      • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial and real estate agreements.
      • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
      • Fluency in Portuguese and English, with the ability to draft and review legal documents in English at a high level.
      • Experience in in-house roles within real estate or luxury development environments is highly desirable.
