DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Define comprehensive test strategies and qualification plans for optical connector products, covering electrical, optical, mechanical, and environmental performance per industry standards (e.g., IEEE, Telcordia GR-468, GR-1435, MSA).2. Conduct key measurements including insertion loss (IL), return loss (RL), polarization-dependent loss (PDL), extinction ratio (ER), jitter, and eye diagram analysis using high-speed test equipment such as optical power meters, OTDRs, BERTs, and oscilloscopes.3. Build and maintain automated test stations using scripting languages like Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB to improve test efficiency, repeatability, and data throughput in lab and production environments.4. Use statistical tools (e.g., JMP, Power BI) to analyze large datasets, identify failure trends, and produce detailed test reports for design reviews, product certification, and customer submissions.SCOPE: The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with optical test instrumentation, automation frameworks, and data analysis, with the ability to drive test strategy from R&D to high-volume production.EDUCATION:REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)WORK EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED: 3+ years of experience in optical component or photonic device testingSKILLS & ABILITIES:REQUIRED: • Minimum 3+ years of experience in optical component or photonic device testing• Proficiency with optical test instruments: optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, interferometers, beam profilers, and high-speed oscilloscopes• Solid understanding of fiber optic technologies (single-mode/multi-mode), connectors (LC, SC, MPO), and transceiver architectures• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills• Knowledge of general telecommunication standards• Hands-on experience with Python, C/C++, or LabVIEW for test automation and hardware control is a plus• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environmentPREFERRED: • English CET 6 or above, or equivalent.
