About the role

We are seeking a curious, technically minded, and highly motivated Financial Intelligence Analyst to support financial reporting, automation, and performance visibility across a growing division. Reporting to the Director of Financial Intelligence and Reporting, this role will play a key part in improving how financial and operational data is structured, reported, and used across the business.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build deep technical capability in reporting, automation, and data analysis within a commercial finance environment. This is not a traditional FP&A analyst role. It is designed for someone who enjoys working with data, improving processes, building more efficient reporting, and solving analytical problems in a fast paced and evolving business.

In the near term, the focus will be on supporting weekly trading, expanding reporting across additional events, enhancing report quality and automation, and helping deliver ad hoc analysis for stakeholders. The analyst will initially work closely with the Director on day-to-day priorities, with the expectation that scope, independence, and stakeholder exposure will grow over time.

As systems and processes mature, the role will develop into broader analytical project support, greater ownership of recurring reporting, and more direct exposure to forecasting, modelling, and performance insight.

As part of your job, you’ll be:

Reporting, Automation & Process Improvement

  • Support the production, maintenance, and enhancement of our weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting across different sectors and events.
  • Own and improve recurring reporting outputs, including weekly trading and other core performance reports.
  • Help automate routine reporting processes to improve speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Expand existing reports to cover additional events, entities, and evolving business requirements.

Data Management & Systems Support

  • Work across multiple data sources and systems to support accurate, consistent, and timely reporting.
  • Support data validation, quality checks, and reconciliations to improve trust in reporting outputs.
  • Manipulate and structure data for analysis using Excel and other reporting or data tools.
  • Develop skills in SQL and database/lakehouse environments to support more scalable analysis over time.
  • Contribute to process improvements and incremental automation using BI, Python, and other technical tools where appropriate.

Analysis & Stakeholder Support

  • Support ad hoc analysis requests from Finance and other business stakeholders.
  • Assist with data preparation for larger analytical, forecasting, and performance projects.
  • Help identify trends, exceptions, and performance drivers within reported results.
  • Work closely with the Director to understand business questions, define requirements, and deliver clear outputs.
  • Over time, build confidence in working more directly with the wider Finance Group, Data & Analytics, Marketing, Sales, and other teams.

Here’s what we’re looking for from you:

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in reporting, analytics, finance, operations, or another data focused role.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with at least one additional reporting, BI, or data manipulation tool such as Power BI, Tableau, CRM dashboards, SQL, or Python.
  • Interest in developing deeper technical capability in reporting, automation, SQL, and data environments.
  • Exposure to Python or other programming languages is a plus, but not essential.
  • Lakehouse, database, or Microsoft Fabric exposure is helpful, but not required.
  • Curious, hands on, and eager to learn new tools, systems, and ways of working.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and adapting as priorities evolve.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high standard for accuracy, follow-through, and ownership.
  • Analytical mindset with a genuine interest in solving problems, improving efficiency, and understanding how the business works.
  • Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively and grow into presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

Why this role

This role is designed for someone who wants to build meaningful technical and commercial experience early in their career. You will work closely with an experienced leader, gain hands on exposure to real business problems, and develop skills in reporting, automation, analysis, and stakeholder communication. For the right person, this is a clear growth opportunity: a chance to become a strong technical problem solver within Finance, build trusted relationships across the business, and grow into larger analytical and strategic work over time.
