Accountabilities:

    • Own and maintain employment templates, policies, processes, and legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions to ensure scalable and compliant employment solutions.
    • Monitor global employment legislation and regulatory developments, assess business impact, and lead implementation of necessary updates.
    • Provide strategic legal advice across the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, compensation, leave, performance management, employee relations, and terminations.
    • Partner with Product, People, and cross-functional teams to design employment solutions that balance legal requirements, operational needs, and business objectives.
    • Support the development and expansion of employment products, ensuring new features and services are legally sound and scalable.
    • Research complex employment law matters and translate legal analysis into practical recommendations for business and non-legal stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain legal guidance, knowledge resources, compliance documentation, and operational materials to support global teams.
    • Manage relationships with external legal advisors and support labor inspections, audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance initiatives.
    • Identify risks and improvement opportunities by analyzing data, stakeholder feedback, and operational insights to strengthen employment compliance frameworks.
    • Leverage AI, automation, and technology solutions to improve legal workflows, reduce manual processes, and increase the scalability of legal support.
    • Contribute to a collaborative, remote-first legal team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Requirements:

      • Law degree (or equivalent qualification) with admission to practice law in one or more jurisdictions.
      • 4+ years of experience practicing employment law, ideally combining law firm and in-house legal experience.
      • Strong expertise in employment law, including drafting and reviewing employment agreements, managing policies and templates, and advising on complex employment matters.
      • Experience handling multi-jurisdictional and cross-border employment issues across different legal and regulatory environments.
      • Understanding of Employer of Record (EOR) models and the legal considerations involved; previous experience in this area is highly preferred.
      • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate clear, practical, and business-focused recommendations to non-legal stakeholders.
      • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
      • Business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance compliance requirements with operational effectiveness and creative problem-solving.
      • Comfortable using technology, AI tools, and automation solutions to improve efficiency and enhance legal processes.
      • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
      • Positive, collaborative attitude with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute beyond core responsibilities.
