Accountabilities:
- Own the engineering platform strategy end to end, ensuring scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and collaboration.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, data science, and machine learning teams to develop and deploy advanced technology solutions.
- Drive the development of real-time decision systems powered by AI, automation, and data-driven insights.
- Increase engineering velocity by improving processes, technical practices, and delivery capabilities.
- Oversee the design and implementation of production-grade systems that integrate complex data sources and business workflows.
- Ensure engineering solutions meet high standards for reliability, security, compliance, and customer impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives and product strategy.
- Build systems that transform manual, time-intensive processes into efficient, automated experiences.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance while remaining deeply engaged with engineering and architecture decisions.
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including experience leading and scaling teams of 10+ engineers.
- Proven experience building and managing production systems powered by machine learning, AI platforms, or automation technologies.
- Strong technical understanding of data infrastructure, data ingestion, reliability challenges, and large-scale systems.
- Experience working with data science and machine learning teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Background in fintech, proptech, insurtech, or other industries involving financially significant or regulated transactions preferred.
- Experience operating in startup or high-growth environments where ownership, adaptability, and independent decision-making are essential.
- Ability to own a technology platform from strategy through execution while partnering with executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, and engineering best practices.
- Ability to increase engineering speed while maintaining quality and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical teams and business stakeholders around a shared vision.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for building impactful products.
- Competitive base salary range of $280,000–$340,000 USD.
