Requirements
- A bachelor/college degree in Architecture or equivalent drafting course is desirable but not mandatory.
- Must have at least 1 to 3 years of working experienced using ArchiCAD drafting programs/software.
- With minimum of 6 months 1 year experience in residential drafting using ArchiCAD.
- An understanding & knowledge of NCC, Australian standard and/or US standards would be advantageous but not essential.
Responsibilities
Prepare Detailed Architectural Drawings- Can use Archicad and BIM workflows to produce accurate complex architectural documentation/drafts.
- Interpret and produce detailed master plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, site plans, and construction details and variation orders.
- Translates design concepts and markups into accurate, model-based drawings and documentation.
- Works closely with the drafting manager and team to ensure standards and project requirements are met.
- Used Archicad to develop and produce detailed technical documentation including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and 3D models
- Must be committed to learning and applying both Australian Standards and U.S. Standards.
- Stay up to date with changes in building codes, accessibility requirements, and drafting standards in both jurisdictions.
- Ensure all plans comply with the applicable standards based on project location or client requirements.
- Perform self-checking of work to eliminate errors before submission.
- Actively incorporate feedback from seniors, managers, and clients to refine and improve outputs.
- Manage and prioritize multiple project tasks to meet deadlines and milestones
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve design or documentation issues.
- Support the project team in meeting deadlines and ensuring all documentation aligns with client expectations and project goals.
