We're looking for a Social Media Specialist to build, scale, and lead Cohesity's Employee Advocacy Program. This isn't about maintaining the status quo. It's about creating a program that employees actually want to be part of, one that drives real awareness, builds individual credibility, and amplifies the Cohesity brand in ways that feel human and earned.
You'll design the strategy, develop the enablement, run the trainings, dream up the contests, and write the content. You'll work across marketing, comms, HR, and sales to make advocacy a core part of how Cohesity shows up externally. And you'll keep finding new ways to grow participation, reward engagement, and raise the bar. This is a builder role with real ownership, real visibility, and room to make it your own.
What You'll Do
Build & Scale the Employee Advocacy Program
Own the full lifecycle of Cohesity's employee advocacy program: strategy, platform management, content, enablement, and growth
Develop and execute a program roadmap that increases employee awareness, drives participation, and scales as the company grows
Create structured onboarding and ongoing trainings so employees understand why advocacy matters, how to do it well, and how to build their own professional presence on social
Design creative contests, challenges, and recognition programs that make participation feel rewarding, not like another ask from corporate
Think outside the standard playbook. Bring fresh ideas for how to engage employees across regions, functions, and levels
Write posts employees genuinely want to share, content that leads with their perspective, not just the company's
Partner with PR, HR, employer branding, and sales to embed advocacy into key company moments and campaigns
Track program performance across shares, engagement, reach, and participation, and use that data to keep improving
Social Media Content
Create and schedule content for employees to share across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and other relevant channels
Write copy for employees to share with their networks that's on-brand, clear, and built for the platform it lives on
Support campaign development across product launches, events, and key company milestones
Experiment with formats, video, carousels, short-form, to find what employees want to share
Stay current on platform changes, social trends, and what's working in B2B tech
Analytics & Optimization
Track and report on social performance, advocacy metrics, and content engagement
Test posting times, formats, and messaging to improve reach and results
Bring recommendations that are grounded in data, not just gut feeling
What We're Looking For
2-4 years of experience in social media, content marketing, or employee advocacy
Proven ability to build or meaningfully grow a program, not just maintain one
Strong writing skills, you can adapt your voice by platform, audience, and context
Real familiarity with LinkedIn and other B2B-relevant social platforms
Experience designing and running employee trainings, enablement sessions, or ambassador programs is a plus
Creative instincts for contests, campaigns, and engagement programs that actually get people excited
Hands-on experience with advocacy or social media management tools (Sociabble, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar)
Comfort with social analytics and a genuine interest in using data to improve your work
Curiosity about AI tools and how to use them to work smarter, not just faster
Interest in, or experience with, the cybersecurity or enterprise tech space, you don't need to be an expert, but you should want to learn
Collaborative by default, you work well across teams and help others feel confident showing up on social
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
Must have English language proficiency (Can interact with a degree of fluency when speaking, reading, and writing in a professional and specialized setting).
