Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Vendor Repair Buyer based out of our Troy Hill campus in Elkridge, MD. The successful candidate will have strong organizational, analytical, presentation, problem resolution, and process improvement skills; and be comfortable communicating with internal and external customers, as well as working in cross functional teams. What You’ll Get to Do: Negotiate quotations and place compliant purchase orders for repair of returned unitsFunction as liaison between company and suppliers, contact suppliers to ensure customer property and equipment are evaluated, repaired, and delivered on promised dates, determine when deliveries may be delayed and communicate to internal customers, maintain records and follow-up files of purchases, shipments, returns and related matters, approve invoicesExtract, monitor, analyze, and validate data information from multiple sourcesDevelop engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolutionManage supplier quality and performance to support customer turnaround timesReport on monthly metrics to leadershipSupport various DOD and commercial customers in a depot environmentBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing/Sourcing in a manufacturing environment; Master's degree with experience in Procurement/Purchasing/Sourcing in a manufacturing environment; 6 years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing/Sourcing in a manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of a degreeExperience placing purchase orders and managing suppliersExperience working in MRP/ERP business systemsExperience using MS Office suite with emphasis on strong Excel/data analysis skillsAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearanceU.S. citizenshipPreferred Qualifications: Active/Current U.S. Government Secret clearanceDegree in Supply Chain ManagementAPICS/ASCM CPIM or IPM CPSM certificationSAP experience, preferably in procurement modulesKnowledge of FAR/DFAR, familiarity with terms and conditions, demonstrated negotiation experienceProficiency with Northrop Grumman tools related to function (GOLD, ISE/CADSTAR)Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people...
