Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to fill the position of Associate Corporate Counsel to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, and more. AWS also offers a comprehensive suite of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) services, infrastructure, and tools to help users build, train, and deploy AI models.
This Associate Corporate Counsel will primarily support AWS's sales teams across Latin America, including negotiating, drafting and advising on strategic enterprise agreements and technology licensing agreements, advising on policy, regulatory and compliance issues, and assisting with business development, marketing initiatives and regional expansion. Typical transactions will range from standard contracts to complex, high-dollar-value strategic agreements. The candidate will have primary drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals and provide ongoing legal counsel and contract interpretation for business team members. The role includes participating in other AWS legal projects, including managing legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Business fluent Spanish language skills (speaking and writing, including negotiating and agreement drafting)
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and as a part of cross-functional teams

Basic qualifications
- 2+ years of post bar admission legal experience- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Business fluent Spanish language skills (speaking and writing, including negotiating and agreement drafting)
