Equipment Technician Diffusion Furnace
Onsemi EFK is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in East Fishkill, New York. Equipment/Maintenance Technicians sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. Onsemi is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.
D 1 Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
Sign-on bonus: $5,000
Sign-On Bonus: Subject to your commencing employment with us, you will also be eligible to receive a sign-on award in the gross amount of $5,000, which will be paid in 4 quarterly payments of $1,250 each (subject to applicable taxes and payroll deductions). The first payment is payable within the first 30 days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments. You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign-on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign-on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi
- Monitor, control, and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment
- Perform, and teach others how to perform, preventive maintenance activities
- React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
- Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions, including defect troubleshooting
- Perform, and teach others how to perform, visual inspections (quality checks)
- Recover from process and tool interruptions
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost
- Complete all required reporting and documentation
- Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
- Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning, and skills development
- Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed, and perform other duties as assigned
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)
- 2-4 years of relevant experience
- Travel – 0% to 10%
- Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
- Physical Capacity Demands – Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per the semiconductor industry and Onsemi protocol/requirements.
- Able to wear all required clean room & safety protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12-hour day (excluding breaks).
- Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance) and/or process issues.
- Able to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks)
