Every day.     As a Senior Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for managing and executing the organization's procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function.     In this role, you will impact the company by optimizing procurement practices, enhancing profitability, and securing a reliable and agile supply chain, making your expertise an indispensable asset to our organization's success.     You will oversee complex procurement projects, manage a team of procurement professionals, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives.  You will report directly to our Senior Procurement Buying Manager, and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA or Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee complex procurement projects from initiation to completion.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Monitor and control procurement costs, ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage procurement budget, allocate resources efficiently, and leverage technology solutions for process enhancement.

 

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Extensive experience in procurement and project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $95,700 - 119,600. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
