Accountabilities:
- Lead upstream marketing activities focused on identifying unmet needs, whitespace opportunities, and emerging trends through market research, competitive analysis, and technology scouting.
- Design and execute Voice of Customer (VoC) programs including KOL engagement, advisory boards, site visits, and usability research to generate deep customer insights.
- Translate customer and market insights into clear product definitions, including target product profiles, use cases, and value propositions aligned with clinical and economic outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, clinical, regulatory, quality, and commercial) to ensure alignment on product strategy, design inputs, and stage-gate processes.
- Support governance, prioritization, and roadmap decisions by connecting upstream insights to portfolio and innovation strategy.
- Contribute to early validation and concept development activities that shape product direction and pipeline growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, upstream marketing, or strategy roles, ideally within medical devices, healthcare technologies, or regulated industries.
- Proven experience in new product development, from concept generation through early-stage validation.
- Strong expertise in Voice of Customer (VoC), market research, and translating insights into product requirements and business cases.
- Experience working in regulated environments (FDA, CE, or similar) and familiarity with design controls and stage-gate processes.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex market and clinical data.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in global or multi-market product environments is highly desirable.
- Competitive annual compensation ranging from $163,200 to $224,400 USD, including base and variable incentive pay (if eligible).
