Inside Sales Representative II

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative II to join the Data Center Power & Control Team. This position reports to Albia, IA. The primary purpose of this position is to sell all distributed, non-distributed, custom and special purchase products through inbound calls. This role will provide customer care and pre-sales technical support for connectivity products, while using rapport-building skills to uncover additional sales opportunities. Responsible for an assigned territory or portfolio of customers to target for remote sales development calls.
What Will You Do?
- Coordinates with field sales team members to understand customers' unique needs and identify potential sales opportunities.
- Reaches out to customers to promote new and existing products and services, offer special discounts and promotions, and provide essential account management services.
- Selects appropriate product information to meet the needs of individual customers, support upselling efforts, and achieve sales targets.
- Develops connections with customers and may conduct field visits.
- Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers primarily by phone to increase sales of products and services.
- Participates in sales efforts as part of a larger team when required.
- Maintains accurate and timely reporting of sales and customer information.
- Utilizes established company processes and reports to accurately enter orders placed by distribution customers in a timely manner.
- Communicates effectively with field sales representatives, Project Managers, and representative firms to support follow-up on quotes, opportunities, and issue resolution.
- Utilizes established company processes to qualify opportunities and probe, up-sell, and cross-sell the full range of connectivity products to customers.
- Completes additional assignments and projects as assigned by management.
- Achieves or exceeds established sales quotas and goals.
- Performs Quarterly Business Reviews related to territories and sales goals.
- Utilizes CPQ for all quotes and consults with the Supervisor regarding resolution of unusual customer issues or customer spiff program design.
- Achieves daily outbound call quotas.
- Creates sales strategies, reporting, and pipeline management plans for assigned accounts.
- Provides the Supervisor and sales management team with timely trip reports, call interaction reports, and forecasting data for assigned territories.
- Provides coverage for other sales department members as needed to ensure uninterrupted customer service during periods of reduced staffing.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management for resolution.
Education: May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
