What You’ll Do
Own global sourcing strategy for GPU servers, storage platforms, CPUs, SSDs, networking and data center components.
Own GPU sourcing and roadmap alignment with NVIDIA, including allocations, platform planning, and executive engagement.
Establish new executive relationships with vendors like Dell, Pegatron, Supermicro, Quanta, Wistron.
Build multivendor strategies for liquid-cooled racks, nodes, and custom AI platforms (HGX / NVL / liquid-cooled deployments).
Manage commercial relationships with CPU vendors - Intel, AMD, SSD vendors - Samsung, Kioxia, Storage platforms - Weka, NetApp, DDN.
Partner closely with Lambda engineering to define BOMs, qualify platforms, and standardize configurations for rapid deployment.
Negotiate MSAs, SLAs, pricing, rebates, allocation agreements, and lead time commitments. Lead executive QBRs with strategic suppliers.
Own vendor scorecards (OTD, quality, RMA turnaround, cost savings, capacity commitments).
Operate in constrained markets - manage GPU scarcity through forecasting, capacity reservations and supplier escalations.
Own end-to-end supply chain execution for AI infrastructure programs, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, logistics coordination, and deployment readiness.
Maintain up to date lead time analysis for components and report on road map and delivery impacts.
Translate sourcing agreements and GPU allocations into executable build plans, delivery schedules, and cluster deployment timelines.
Build and operate operational KPIs across forecast accuracy, inventory turns, weeks of supply, on-time delivery, RMA turnaround, and deployment velocity.
Partner closely with manufacturing, logistics, data center operations, and infrastructure teams to optimize landed cost, lead times, and installation schedules.
Manage team while mentoring and developing junior procurement professionals into high impact sourcing team members.
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations across the sourcing function.
Partner with engineering, infrastructure, finance, and operations leadership to ensure sourcing capacity scales in lockstep with Lambda’s cloud growth.
Develop and track departmental goals related to operational improvements.
You
Have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business administration, Business Analytics, Business management or related field.
Have 5 years of experience as Supply Chain Analyst, Production Manager, Procurement Manager, or related occupation.
Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
Managing end-to-end global sourcing strategy across key platforms, including supplier selection, commercial negotiations, capacity planning, and performance governance.
Negotiating master service agreements (MSA), service-level agreements (SLA), vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs, rebates, allocation commitments, and lead time terms to secure supply continuity and favorable commercial outcomes.
Managing offshore Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and domestic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) fulfillment manufacturing.
SQL and BI platforms to drive analytical decision making, including Tableau, Power BI, and BigQuery.
Operational experience with ERP and infrastructure systems: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and NetBox.
Working with procurement and Product Lifecyle Management (PLM) platforms including Coupa, Ariba, and Propel PLM.
Position permits telecommuting, applicant may reside anywhere in U.S, reports to San Jose, CA
