Vice President, Expense Management - Business Support Management

As a Vice President in Business Support Management within the Global Expense Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting firmwide and Corporate & Investment Banking Travel & Expense policies and procedures, Sponsorship & Donation requirements, Gifts & Business Hospitality, and the effective use of various expense and invoicing tools and reporting solutions. You will promote operational excellence, lead transformation initiatives, and act as a primary escalation point for stakeholders. In this role, you will cultivate strong partnerships with subject matter experts and deliver targeted training to meet evolving business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the Expense Management Team, including recruiting, hiring, and training processes.
- Own performance management and compensation recommendations, ensuring thorough and timely completion of firm requirements.
- Define and deliver operational reporting metrics, KPIs, and scorecards to drive organizational objectives in partnership with global colleagues.
- Execute and guide transformation efforts related to the evolution of the Expense Management Team in partnership with global colleagues.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities impacting the Expense Management team, elevating issues to relevant owners for resolution and in partnership with global colleagues.
- Serve as an operational escalation point for Expense-related inquiries from various stakeholders.
- Develop strong relationships with subject matter experts to triage concerns and navigate process updates.
- Define business requirements and drive tool development in partnership with Technology and with global colleagues.
- Produce, update, and deliver training on Expense-related topics using existing or new materials.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong leadership and role modeling skills with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Control orientation with a focus on enforcing compliance and mitigating business process risks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Highly proficient analytical capabilities with the ability to convey data insights clearly.
- Adaptability in integrating and using new technologies to improve operations.
- Proactive and confident mindset with the ability to drive results independently while escalating effectively and timely to regional partners.
- Minimum of five years of operational management experience in a large financial management firm with a track record of successful people management.
- Ability to operate independently with exceptional judgment and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience navigating Travel & Entertainment expense policies and Concur.
- Experience with Ariba or other invoice submission applications.
- Proven leadership potential with a track record of influencing and motivating teams.
